Paying Your Utility Bill



The forms of payment the District currently accepts are checks, debit cards, credit cards, money orders, and cash. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express credit and debit cards. The Post Office in Old Town accepts debit cards for the purchase of money orders and they also provide cash back with debit card purchases. Payments can be made in person at the office on 109 Center Street in Old Town or via mail at:

Pay Your Bill Online
You may now pay your bill online using a debit or credit card.  By clicking the image below you will be taken to a secure payment processing page service that allows you to pay your Old Town Water District payments online. Each payment is immediately processed and the payment date is equal to the time you complete your transaction. A flat fee of $1.00 is charged for payments of $40.00 or less, or 2.50% of the balance for transactions over $40.00. On the payment screen, please enter your last name only, and your account number, and the amount owed will populate. Disconnection Process
The Old Town Water District mails it utility bills to customers on the 1st of the month. The bill for service is due no later than 30 days from the billing date.  For customers who do not pay their utility bill by the due date unpaid bills are subject to collection and disconnection procedures allowed by the Maine Public Utilities Commission.

Payment Arrangements
Customers who enter into a payment arrangement for past due amounts are required to keep their future bill current. The purpose of a payment arrangement is to catch up the past due amount.
